1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Guardian Eye ("the Software"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the software.

2. License Grant

Free Version

The free version of Guardian Eye is licensed under the MIT License. You may use, copy, modify, and distribute it for personal and non-commercial purposes.

Paid Versions (Home, Pro)

Paid licenses grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software:

  • Home License: Personal use on up to 3 devices you own
  • Pro License: Personal or commercial use on up to 10 devices

3. Restrictions

You may NOT:

  • Share, resell, or redistribute license keys
  • Use the Software for illegal surveillance or privacy violations
  • Remove or alter any copyright notices
  • Reverse engineer the license validation system

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Complying with all applicable laws regarding video surveillance in your jurisdiction
  • Obtaining necessary consent from individuals being recorded where required by law
  • Securing your recordings and preventing unauthorized access
  • Backing up your data — we are not responsible for data loss

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Software license.

7. Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for paid licenses. To request a refund, contact us at support@getguardianeye.com within 30 days of purchase.

8. Updates

Paid licenses include free updates for the lifetime of the major version purchased. We may offer discounted upgrades for future major versions.

9. Termination

We may terminate your license if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you must stop using the Software and delete all copies.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Germany.
